For one unforgettable day, the beautiful Vrede en Lust Wine Estate in the Cape Winelands was transformed into a very special kind of celebration - one filled with love, life and lightness.

Surrounded by the vineyards and mountains of South Africa's Winelands, Vrede en Lust already offers one of those backdrops that hardly needs anything added to it. But what Luke and the entire team created for this wedding was something else entirely.

Every detail felt intentional, from the florals and tablescapes to the textures, colours and countless little elements that brought the whole celebration together. Elevated and beautifully considered, yet never losing that effortless feeling that makes a wedding truly enjoyable.

As a wedding photographer, these are the celebrations that are such a joy to document. Of course, I could have spent hours photographing the incredible setup alone - but what made this Vrede en Lust wedding so special wasn't only how beautiful everything looked. It was the people filling those spaces, the energy throughout the day, the laughter, the emotions and all those little moments happening in between.

Because ultimately, that is what I want photographs to preserve: not only what your wedding looked like, but what it felt like to be there.
