5 Fun and Interactive Wedding Activities Your Guests Will Love

Looking to make your destination wedding an event that your guests will remember? Try including some fun and interactive wedding activities to keep your guests entertained!

In addition to the traditional reception dinner and cocktail hour, some couples like to have some sort of an ice breaker for their guests or a game they can incorporate into their day. There are plenty of options to choose from but today I want to share 5 of my favorite activities to help make your wedding a fun and interactive experience full of connection, fun, and laughter.

Have A Gathering The Day Before Your Wedding

If you’re having a destination wedding, chances are that most, if not all of your guests will be arriving to your wedding location at least a day early. Having a gathering the day before your wedding gives your guests something to do and adds another layer to your special event.

This also gives your guests a chance to mingle and get to know each other in a much more relaxed setting. I can speak from personal experience that getting together the day before your wedding allows everyone to concentrate on having fun and getting comfortable with one another, which will make everyone feel much more relaxed on your actual wedding day.

Rent A Themed Photobooth

We all know them, and truth be told, we all love them! Photo booths are such a fun detail to include at any event, especially weddings.

Not everyone will have the chance to have their photo taken by your wedding photographer, so having a photo booth at your wedding is a great way to make sure that everyone is able to create a memory of your special day. They’re also a great way to bring people together to talk, interact, and laugh!

Include Games

Games are a fun way to bring people together and get everyone laughing! There are so many options to choose from, but a few of my favorites include:

Giant Jenga
Giant Tic-Tac-Toe
The Nailing Game

These games have always been a hit and make perfect ice-breakers during cocktail hour. They’re also perfect to have at your reception for when your guests need a break from the dance floor and ensure that everyone has a chance to entertain themselves.

Make Dinner Fun

Even though the 4-course sit-down dinner might be the traditional go-to, you may want to consider some different dinner alternatives if an engaged interaction between your guests is your goal. Opt for a buffet or food truck instead!

Do you have a favorite food? Make dinner more personal by making a food party out of it!

P.S: If you don’t feel like doing any of that for your actual dinner, you can do this during your cocktail hour, or as a tasty late-night snack. Chances are that people will be hungry again after hitting the dance floor!

Host an After-Wedding Brunch or Half-Day Excursion

Epic stories and unforgettable memories have just been made. Before leaving on your honeymoon, relive them with your guests as a newly married couple by having an after-wedding brunch with them!

A half-day excursion is another great option to consider if you had a destination wedding your guests traveled to. Incorporate a fun activity like a tour through the vineyards or a quad ride through the sand dunes in the dessert.

Just because your wedding day is over though doesn’t mean that the festivities have to end!
